Statement of Faith
Preamble
The Imager Project exists to help families grow in wisdom and follow Jesus so His likeness can be seen in faith, family, and community. We believe that what we build in our homes shapes the world around us, and that every believer is called to reflect the image of Christ through words, work, and love.
Our statement of faith is rooted in this belief: a life grounded in Scripture, redeemed by grace, and guided by the Spirit leads to genuine flourishing for individuals, families, and nations.
1. The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, true, trustworthy, and sufficient for teaching, correction, and formation in righteousness.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105)
2. The Triune God
We worship one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; one God in three persons, eternal, equal in glory, and distinct in role (1 x 1 x 1 = 1).
(Matthew 28:19; Deuteronomy 6:4)
3. Creation and the Image of God
Every person is made in God’s image, created for a relationship with Him and other believers, and called to reflect His character in the world.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Ephesians 2:10)
4. Sin and Redemption
Humanity has fallen and cannot save itself. Sin separates us from God, but redemption comes through Jesus Christ alone, by grace through faith, not by works. Through His saving work and His ongoing advocacy before the Father, believers are forgiven, cleansed, and restored.
(Romans 3:23–24; Ephesians 2:8–9; 1 John 2:1)
5. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered and died as the perfect atoning sacrifice for our sins, physically rose from the dead, ascended bodily into heaven, and now reigns as Lord. He is our advocate and intercessor before the Father, praying for and sustaining His people.
(John 1:14; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1)
6. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, brings new birth, unites believers to Christ, comforts, empowers, and produces fruit in God’s people. He equips the Church for mission and prepares believers for every good work.
(John 14:26; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23)
7. The Church and Family
The Church is one body in Christ, called to worship, love, serve, and make disciples of all nations. The family is the first place where discipleship takes root, shaping the next generation to know and follow Jesus.
(Acts 2:42–47; Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Ephesians 4:4–6)
8. The Kingdom and Hope
Jesus will return bodily to restore all things, judge all people, and establish His everlasting kingdom of justice and peace. Until He comes, we live as His image-bearers, walking in faith, hope, and love.
(Matthew 24:30; Revelation 21:1–5)
Our Calling
To hear His Word, build on His truth, and stand in His grace by forming families and communities that reflect the image of Christ in every area of life.
